Attorney Chris Cowan founded his firm with a passion to help the most deserving. His sole mission is to place his clients in the most promising position to win. He is a third-generation attorney. And his father and grandfather honorably represented working individuals and families – never big corporations nor their insurance companies. Their principles, work ethic, and dedication to the profession continues to inspire Chris every day.
After graduating from the University of Texas McCombs School of Business and Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, he began his career at one of the largest plaintiff’s personal injury firms in Dallas, Texas, ultimately raising to Head of the Product Liability Department. He litigated against many Fortune 100 corporations, as well as some of the largest international corporations of the world. He successfully represented children, fathers, mothers, survivors, and widows, in death, paralysis, sexual misconduct, and brain/spinal injury claims, along with deserving folks with less serious injuries. His representation has included sole individuals, entire families, complete neighborhoods, and hundreds and thousands of people in mass and class actions. His practice is nationwide — extending to tragedies in Mexico, as well as an endorsement as a legal expert in Canadian litigation.
Mr. Cowan has filed leading causes of action, including first-of-its kind lawsuits. His efforts have resulted in record recoveries, as well as first-ever discovery orders requiring the production of secret internal corporate documentation in a variety of suits. He is a licensed motorcycle operator, enjoys the thrill of motor and snow sports, as well as spending time with his wife, their two adult children, and three dogs.
Reports of his victories and legal accomplishments have appeared nationally in numerous publications and news sources, including:
